Miranda and Jackson

Loud shirt day was on Friday. Everyone either wore a
superhero costume or a bright top. Everyone brought in a
gold coin donation for the hearing house to help kids who
don’t hear as well as the rest of us.

On Thursday we went to the old tennis courts that are now
used for parking. We went round the back and we were
AMAZED at the sight. There were metal poles, screw, parts
of a clock, a plate and believe it or not a frying pan in the
wall! It was really weird. When we got back we made a story
about how we think it got there. We could make it up and we
could also use real things.

Week two - George

Baditude!

Yesterday we learnt about gratitude and baditude. Baditude is when you have a bad attitude towards everything. You may even have a unibrow because you are so angry and your frown makes you look like you have one eye brow. It can also be when you feel like your life stinks. You feel all alone and that everyone hates you. Gratitude is when you are helpful and positive to everyone, you smile at them and you have a positive body language.

Today we wrote on the board what we were thankful for. George wrote "I am grateful for friends because they make people happy on a bad day". Miranda said "I am grateful for friends family toys and everything else".

T3 - W1 - Maia, Leo and Ryansun

Welcome back to term 3!

This week we received a very special letter, from the prime minister Jacinda Ardern. We were very lucky to receive this letter. In term two for R.E we were learning about the Messiah. We were also studying about all the different leaders in the world, and we thought Jacinda Ardern was one of them. We thought up of some questions that we wanted to ask her and  she replied back.

How many jobs do you mostly have to do in a day? What are they?

  • Cicely
What is your middle name?
  • Liam
Dear Jacinda Ardern,
Why don’t children have the right to vote because I think that we should
  • Sebastian
Were you shocked when you got the job?
  • Adam
Dear Jacinda,
Is it annoying having so many protectors and bodyguards?
  • Miranda
Why did you choose the name ‘Labour’ and the colour red?
  • Ruby
Why did you want to become Prime minister?
  • Bianka

We are very grateful that she replied back to us.

This term we are doing P.E . Every two weeks we swap to a different sport. The sports are netball, ripper rugby, soccer, hockey and softball. This week we did netball with Mrs Drummond. We practiced the three different types of passes you can do in netball they are lob, chest pass and the bounce pass we also practiced shooting it was so much fun.

This week we also started our Mandarin lessons. We learned where China was on the map and also learned how to say hello

We also had an amazing healthy eating celebration shared lunch. Our tummies were full of delicious healthy snacks!

On the last day of Term we had Nick and Fergie come in to teach the year 3's about dog safety. We learned that we always had to ask the owner for permission before touching their dog and also to only touch the dogs back and sides, never the head. We all practiced this on Fergie

Have a safe and happy holiday everyone!
