Liua, Ukilifi, Aisling - Week 6

On Thursday the school council ran a mini Baking and Books Fair.  This was to raise money to paint a mural on the power box.  There was lots of yummy baking and books to chose from.  We raised around $750.00.  Great work by the school council.

All week the Special Character people have been selling Daffodils.  This to raise money for the Cancer research.  Some of Room 8 children have brought a Daffodil and are wearing them proudly on their uniform.

Week two - George

Baditude!

Yesterday we learnt about gratitude and baditude. Baditude is when you have a bad attitude towards everything. You may even have a unibrow because you are so angry and your frown makes you look like you have one eye brow. It can also be when you feel like your life stinks. You feel all alone and that everyone hates you. Gratitude is when you are helpful and positive to everyone, you smile at them and you have a positive body language.

Today we wrote on the board what we were thankful for. George wrote "I am grateful for friends because they make people happy on a bad day". Miranda said "I am grateful for friends family toys and everything else".
