Scooter course

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to attend a scooter course at school. We were taught how to properly fit our helmets, how to use our breaks properly, how to give way at a pedestrian crossing or give way sign and also how to check for sneaky driveways 

Drama 

We have been looking at different drama techniques. We have based our work off the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. We have explored expression, body language, soundscapes and other drama techniques. In this picture, we are using our bodies and facial expressions to become the creepy forest that Hansel and Gretel walk through when they are lost. We also made noises doing a haunted house a beach and a rainstorm

In week 8, Good Shepherd School had a lot going on. It was book week and also the week of our school production.

Matariki

Matariki

This week we celebrated the beginning of Matariki, the Maori new year. We performed our Matariki macarena at our sports assembly 

Waitī, Waitā, Waipunarangi,

Tupu-ā-nuku, Tupu-ā-rangi, Ururangi e

Koinei ngā tamariki o Matariki
(These are the children of Matariki)

Ngā whetū e pīataata i te rangi e

Week 6 - Liam, Sienna and William

Cross country 

Week 6 in term 2 was cross country

Before morning tea the year 3's raced. It was so exciting!

After morning tea it was the year 4 race. They had to go down Telford Ave twice times’s.

It was tiring but so fun.

The races went in order from the 0’s to the year 6’s.

Everyone had fun! Some people nearly fell asleep after because they were so tired.

ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

It was so tiring. Everyone was dying for water.
