This week we had our pool session where we got to practice working with life jackets. We first fitted our jackets, making sure there was no room for our buddy to put their hands down the front. We also checked if they were tight enough to not slip up over our ears.
Next we rolled into the pool in our HELP position.

Get NZ writing
Rooms 7 and 8 have participated in the Warehouse Stationary's 'Get NZ Writing' program. We worked on putting together a poster for our buddy school that shared things like
- How many people in our class can lick their elbows
- What can be found 5 km away from our school
- What are some other words to say the word 'a lot'
And loads more.
We also worked on some BRILLIANT metaphor poems that we wrote onto post cards for our buddy class.
We really look forward to receiving our postcards and poster from our buddy class in Dannevirke.
You look like your having a fantastic time with your learning Room 8. I look forward to you sharing your postcards from your Buddy class in Dannevirke. It will be interesting to see any differences they have in part of NZ.
